First Supervisor to endorse, Tavaglione says he’s “honored to support” General Roth
(Riverside, CA) -- Senator Richard D. Roth’s campaign announced today that Riverside County Supervisor John Tavaglione has endorsed General Roth for re-election to the State Senate.
“General Roth has delivered for all of us in Inland Southern California from day one,” said Riverside County Supervisor John Tavaglione. “General Roth delivered a major victory for our region by securing full funding for the UC Riverside School of Medicine, and continues to fight for Riverside County’s four newest cities. I am honored to support General Roth for State Senate. He works hard for us.”
Supervisor Tavaglione’s endorsement comes early in the 31st Senate District race. First elected in 1994, Supervisor Tavaglione has represented Riverside County’s 2nd Supervisorial District for nearly 20 years. He has actively supported Riverside County’s newest cities, including Eastvale and Jurupa Valley, and currently represents the cities of Corona, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley and portions of Riverside.
“I am proud to have Supervisor Tavaglione’s support for re-election,” said Senator Roth. “Supervisor Tavaglione has been an important ally in the fight to save Riverside County’s four newest cities, including Eastvale and in particular Jurupa Valley, which faces the possibility of disincorporation. I will continue to work hard so all of Riverside County has the strongest advocate fighting for it in Sacramento.”
