General Roth continues to be the clear choice, once again being praised as an effective leader and key ally for law enforcement
(Riverside, CA) -- The Riverside Police Officers’ Association has endorsed General Richard Roth for re-election to the State Senate.
“The Riverside Police Officers’ Association is proud to endorse General Roth,” said Brian C. Smith, President of RPOA. “By championing commonsense policies that will increase protections for those injured in the line of duty, General Roth has been a key ally for law enforcement. General Roth has been a truly effective leader, delivering the resources law enforcement needs to protect our families and neighborhoods. We look forward to continuing to work with General Roth to make Riverside and our region an even safer place to raise our families.”
Founded in 1935 as the Riverside Policemen’s Relief Association with 29 members, RPOA now represents over 400 active and retired members who have dedicated their lives to protecting Riverside’s families, children and neighborhoods. RPOA provides assistance to the immediate family members of police officers killed or injured in the line of duty and also serves to advance the health and well-being of the less-fortunate, children and elderly throughout the community.
“I am truly honored to receive RPOA’s endorsement and thank them for their strong support,” said General Roth. “My 32 years in the Air Force taught me that those fighting to keep our families and communities safe deserve leaders who will never stop fighting for them. I am looking forward to continuing to be that leader in the State Senate, delivering the resources law enforcement needs to get the job done, and to working with RPOA and law enforcement throughout our region to make Inland Southern California even safer.”
With the push to re-elect General Roth gaining momentum by the day, public safety continues to come out in strong support of his re-election. Just last week, the Corona Police Officers’ Association threw their support behind General Roth, joining the Corona Firefighters Association and Riverside City Firefighters Association, as well as the California Association of Highway Patrolmen, in praising General Roth for his bipartisan leadership and commitment to making Inland Southern California even safer for our region’s families, schools and neighborhoods.
