Nation’s largest statewide public safety association praises General Roth as “clear choice,” and “one of California’s greatest public safety champions”
(Sacramento, CA) -- The Peace Officers Research Association of California has endorsed General Roth for re-election to the State Senate.
“On behalf of over 66,000 public safety members, PORAC is proud to endorse General Roth for re-election to the State Senate,” said PORAC President Michael Durant. “General Roth knows that keeping our communities safe must be a top priority, and he will continue to be one of California’s greatest public safety champions in the State Senate. From his 32 years of service in the US Air Force to his bipartisan leadership in delivering the resources law enforcement needs to get the job done to keep Californians safe, General Roth has proven time and again that he is the clear choice for public safety.”
With over 66,000 members and 900 associations, PORAC is a professional organization of local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. It is the largest statewide public safety association of its kind in California and the nation, working to identify public safety needs throughout California’s communities and design programs to adequately meet those changing needs.
“I am honored to receive the strong support of one of our state and nation’s finest public safety associations,” said General Roth. “Safe neighborhoods, schools and communities comprise the very fabric of the American Dream, and I share PORAC’s commitment to ensuring all Californians are safe in their homes and communities. I look forward to continuing to work with PORAC and others to ensure law enforcement has the resources it needs to keep our families, schools and communities safe.”
PORAC’s endorsement comes on the heels of the key endorsement of the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association, which praised General Roth as “one of public safety’s most effective champions” in the State Senate. General Roth has continued to rack up endorsements from a broad coalition of public safety organizations and officials, including Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin, the California Professional Firefighters, the Corona Firefighters Association, the Riverside City Firefighters Association, the California Association of Highway Patrolmen, the Corona Police Officers' Association and the Riverside Police Officers' Association.
