(RIVERSIDE, CA) -- General Richard Roth has won a commanding victory in the June 7, 2016, Primary election and will advance to the November 8 General election, as officially certified by the Riverside County Registrar of Voters.
The final, certified election results from the Riverside County ROV on July 5, 2016, show General Roth defeating his opponent by 29,749 votes, a margin of 22.32%.
“I am truly honored to have officially won the Primary election and to advance to the General election,” said General Roth. “My 32 years in the United States Air Force taught me that public service is about working together. To me, winning by such a significant margin clearly shows that the voters of the 31st Senate District broadly support my vision of collaborative, bipartisan leadership.
“I am proud of my bipartisan record of delivering for all Inland Southern Californians, and am proud to have received support from a broad coalition of public safety, education and local leaders. From fully funding the UC Riverside School of Medicine, to creating good jobs and standing up for our veterans, my first four years in the State Senate prove that we can achieve great things when we come together under a common purpose. I am looking forward to the road ahead, to victory on November 8 and continuing to deliver for our region and its people.”
