Public safety leaders continue to rally behind General Roth's re-election; praise his "stellar track record" in making communities and families safer
The largest statewide organization dedicated exclusively to improving the lives of California's firefighters and their families has endorsed General Richard Roth for re-election to the State Senate, General Roth's campaign announced today.
The California Professional Firefighters' early endorsement is yet another example of public safety leaders coming out unequivocally in support of General Roth's re-election to the State Senate.
Lou Paulson, President of California Professional Firefighters, said: "CPF is proud to endorse General Richard Roth for State Senate. General Roth has been a key ally for firefighters and the public safety community, and he understands the sacrifices firefighters and their families make every day to protect all Californians. General Roth has a stellar track record in ensuring we have the tools and resources we need to keep families and children safe, and he will continue to be one of public safety's strongest allies in Sacramento."
Over the last 75 years, CPF has worked to make life better for California's firefighters and their families. With a membership of more than 30,000, CPF is the largest statewide organization dedicated exclusively to serving the needs of career firefighters. CPF is the officially chartered state council for the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), which represents more than 298,000 front line firefighters across the United States.
"I can think of no greater champion in the Legislature for keeping our families safe than General Richard Roth," said Timothy Strack, President of the Riverside City Firefighters Association, IAFF Local #1067. "As one of public safety's most important allies, General Roth will continue fighting for us so we can make our region and state an even safer place for all Californians to raise their families."
Jim Steiner, President of the Corona Firefighters Association, IAFF Local #3757, said: "General Richard Roth's bipartisan leadership in advocating for our region's families and their safety is unmatched. General Roth knows that keeping our families and children safe must be priority number one, and he will continue to be our strongest ally in that effort."
"I am honored to receive the endorsement of the California Professional Firefighters," said General Roth. "Being able to raise our families in a safe community isn't just part of the California Dream, it is a basic human right. That's why I am not only proud to receive the support of CPF, but equally proud to share their commitment to protecting our communities. I am looking forward to continuing to work with CPF and all public safety leaders so we can make Inland Southern California an even safer place to live, work and raise our families."
Over the last several months, General Roth's campaign has racked up a series of early endorsements from an impressive cross-section of public safety, education and community leaders. They include Riverside County Sheriff Stan Sniff, Superintendent of Schools Kenneth M. Young and District Attorney Michael Hestrin. In their endorsements, Sheriff Sniff praised General Roth as a "true champion for public safety;" Superintendent Young lauded General Roth as "education's greatest ally;" and DA Hestrin praised General Roth's commitment to combatting crime and keeping Inland Southern California's schools, neighborhoods and communities safe.
