CAHP praises General Roth’s commonsense leadership and commitment to California’s Finest as public safety leaders continue to rally behind his re-election
(Sacramento, CA) -- In a momentous move, the California Association of Highway Patrolmen has endorsed General Richard Roth’s re-election to the State Senate, General Roth’s campaign announced today.
"On behalf of California’s Finest, the California Association of Highway Patrolmen (CAHP) is proud to endorse General Richard Roth for re-election to the State Senate," said CAHP President Doug Villars. "General Roth shares our values of honor, integrity and moral strength, and has a proven track record of fighting to protect our communities, families and children. The CAHP is proud to stand with General Roth because we know he will continue to be a key partner in keeping all Californians safe."
CAHP officially represents over 13,000 current and retired California Highway Patrol officers, serving CHP officers and their families as well as the spouses and children of officers killed in the line of duty.

California’s Highway Patrol officers place their lives on the line every day to protect all Californians, and I will continue to be a strong voice for public safety and our communities in the State Senate."
CAHP’s endorsement is the latest in a series of early endorsements from key public safety leaders and organizations, including Riverside County Sheriff Stan Sniff, District Attorney Michael Hestrin and the California Professional Firefighters. In their endorsements, Sheriff Sniff praised General Roth as a "true champion for public safety;" DA Hestrin praised General Roth’s commitment to combatting crime and protecting Inland Southern California’s schools, neighborhoods and communities; and Lou Paulson, President of CPF praised General Roth’s "stellar track record" in ensuring public safety has the tools and resources necessary to keep all Californians safe.
