CalChamber President & CEO calls General Roth a “champion” and “consistent voice for small business owners”
(Riverside, CA) -- As General Richard Roth’s re-election campaign continues to build momentum toward victory, local and state business leaders are praising his bipartisan approach to creating jobs, fostering a healthy business climate and protecting small business owners.
Allan Zaremberg, President and CEO of the California Chamber of Commerce, said: “The people of Inland Southern California benefit greatly from the bipartisan problem solving approach that is the hallmark of Senator Richard Roth’s legislative record. Senator Roth is a champion of bringing new employment opportunities to the region and is a strong and consistent voice for small business owners when they face undue and burdensome government regulations.”
As State Senator, General Roth has quickly earned a reputation as a commonsense problem-solver. Democrats and Republicans alike have praised the solutions he has developed, including his 2014 measure, Senate Bill 718, which will help secure the U.S. Air Force’s Advanced Strategic Aircraft Program (ASAP) in California. The program, which will build the Air Force’s new bomber aircraft, is projected to create approximately 6,600 new jobs in the aerospace industry.
Vicky Medina, Owner of Zacateca’s Mexican Restaurant in Riverside, said: “General Roth has been an extraordinary leader who has made fostering a healthy business climate in California a top priority. General Roth has never let partisan politics get in the way of commonsense policies, and he will continue fighting for and protecting small business owners in the State Senate.”
To protect small businesses from costly litigation that had forced some to permanently close their doors and to ensure compliance with disability access laws, General Roth developed a bipartisan solution that gives businesses the tools and resources necessary to comply with the law while also protecting access for the disabled community. The California Chamber of Commerce praised that measure, Senate Bill 251, as a job creator.
Barry Hildebrandt, Owner of WCI Real Estate in Riverside, said: “General Roth is not only a champion for small businesses, he’s a champion for our community and local economy. For too long, Sacramento has placed more regulations on small business owners and given them fewer tools and incentives to be successful. General Roth has developed effective solutions that cut through the red tape and helped create real jobs. Our region is truly better off with General Roth in the State Senate.”
